Mark & Caroline — the people behind Fern Fields.
Fern Fields is not a large resort run at arm’s length. Mark and Caroline are part of the day-to-day experience, personally welcoming guests who come to enjoy this quiet corner of Normandy.
Our story
A French adventure that became a small rural retreat.
Mark and Caroline began their French adventure in 2020, eventually creating Fern Fields on secluded rural land around Saint-Michel-de-Montjoie. The property is surrounded by woodland, ferns, countryside and granite.
The aim has never been to become a large commercial resort. Fern Fields is intentionally small, relaxed and personal: somewhere to slow down, enjoy nature and experience naturism at your own pace.

The gîte, pitches, bell tents and shared spaces sit within a simple rural setting. The aim is to retain the feeling of being in the countryside rather than turning the land into a commercial holiday park.
